Be part of the Google I/O 2026 keynote with ‘Code the Countdown’
Source: 9to5Google

Overview
Google’s biggest show of the year always starts with a countdown. For I/O 2026, you can be part of it thanks to vibe coding — a creative challenge that lets you showcase a large number (1‑10, or all of them) in a project.
How to Participate
- Use the Gemini app’s Canvas feature or AI Studio to create a project that features a large number in the middle.
- Your creation can be anything you imagine: a game, fluid simulation, playable synthesizer, etc.—as long as a big number is prominently displayed.
- When you’re finished, generate a share link and submit it via the Code the Countdown form by May 6.
- Include one of your social handles in the form so Google can credit you.
- Tune into the I/O 2026 livestream at 9:55 AM PDT on May 19 to see if your work is featured.
