Apple’s most powerful Mac Studio no longer includes RAM upgrade options. This comes after Apple has seemingly run out of inventory for the two highest memory options supported by the machine.
M3 Ultra Mac Studio only available in 96 GB RAM configuration
As Basic Apple Guy points out today, Apple has removed the option to buy the M3 Ultra Mac Studio with 256 GB RAM. It was already next to impossible to order.
Back in March, Apple removed the option to configure the M3 Ultra Mac Studio with 512 GB of memory.
This leaves the M3 Ultra Mac Studio with a single memory configuration: 96 GB.
Get it while supplies last.
Apple signaled last week that it expects both the Mac mini and Mac Studio to remain supply‑constrained for several months. Apple also dropped the base‑storage Mac mini model last week.
Meanwhile, Apple’s M5 Max MacBook Pro can be configured with up to 128 GB of memory.
