Apple TV’s new French‑language drama The Hunt—which had been placed on indefinite hold amid plagiarism concerns—has finally received a confirmed premiere date.
Release Details
Apple announced that The Hunt, produced by French studio Gaumont and directed by Cédric Anger, will debut on March 4.
Background
The series’ launch was delayed after French media reporter Clement Garin highlighted striking similarities between The Hunt (originally presented by Anger as his own creation) and Shoot, Douglas Fairbairn’s 1973 novel about two groups of hunters, later adapted into a 1976 film.
