Apple TV has two of its biggest hit shows returning this summer

Apple TV has three top‑tier shows all airing right now, but the streamer is assembling a strong summer lineup too, anchored by the return of two of its all‑time biggest hit series.
#1: Silo, the dystopian sci‑fi hit, is back this July

Silo is one of Apple TV’s most popular sci‑fi series. Its second season became one of the only Apple shows to ever hit the Nielsen top‑10 chart.
Almost exactly 18 months after its last episode aired, Silo Season 3 arrives Friday, July 3 with its premiere episode, then weekly releases through September 4.
The dystopian series is based on the book trilogy by Hugh Howey. Apple has already confirmed that Season 4 is coming too, and will conclude the story.
Season 3 summary
Season three of “Silo” continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.
Silo’s third season will interweave storylines from both the second and third books, opening the world to brand‑new characters (and a lot more sunshine).
#2: Ted Lasso officially returns this summer, likely in August

Ted Lasso is perhaps the series most synonymous with Apple TV overall. After years of rumors, Apple finally confirmed its return and multiple new seasons are in the works.
Ted Lasso Season 4 will premiere this summer on Apple TV. While Apple has only confirmed the “summer” window, star Hannah Waddingham recently revealed that August is the planned release month.
Season 4 summary
Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second‑division women’s football team. Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
The new season brings back most of the beloved ensemble, including Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift.
