Apple updates its design gallery for Liquid Glass
Apple has updated its developer website this week to spotlight third‑party apps using Liquid Glass to “create natural, responsive experiences across Apple platforms.”
This is the second version of Apple’s design gallery for Liquid Glass, following the initial gallery debut in November. Since then, more apps have adopted the new Liquid Glass design language, and both developers and Apple have refined the overall implementation.
“In the latest edition of our new design gallery, find out how teams of all sizes are taking advantage of the new design and Liquid Glass to create natural, responsive experiences across Apple platforms,” Apple says.
Carrot Weather
One of the apps highlighted in the new design gallery is Carrot Weather. The sarcastic robot with dreams of world domination retains its personality, but the UI receives a fresh look—especially when panning around the map on the Radar tab. The app is also simpler: developer Brian Mueller reduced the number of tabs in the bottom toolbar for a cleaner experience. (He also introduced a full musical, which isn’t about design, but it’s still remarkable.)
Denim
Denim, a playlist‑cover‑creation app for Apple Music, also gets a shout‑out. In this app, Liquid Glass toolbar controls blend nicely into the dark canvas. The undo and redo buttons adopt the new design, and text labels on the cover art receive a fresh appearance.
