Apple sends invites for WWDC26 keynote, iOS 27 and more coming soon

Apple is officially inviting members of the press to WWDC 2026 today. WWDC will kick off on June 8 with a keynote at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.

“Coming bright up” is the tagline for this year’s WWDC festivities.

Apple is expected to unveil its next round of major software updates at WWDC 2026, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27.

Here’s the schedule, according to a new Apple press release:

Apple Keynote

June 8, 10 a.m. PDT
WWDC will open with a first look at the latest updates coming to Apple platforms. The keynote will be available to stream on apple.com, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel. On‑demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.

Platforms State of the Union

June 8, 1 p.m. PDT
Shortly after the keynote, the Platforms State of the Union will dive deeper into new features, APIs, and technologies that empower developers to create powerful experiences across Apple platforms. The session will be available to stream on the Apple Developer app, the website, the YouTube channel, and Bilibili. On‑demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.

Apple is also holding a variety of virtual sessions and guides for developers throughout the week, including Group Labs—live online presentations and Q&A sessions hosted by Apple engineers and designers.

Apple today unveiled the 2026 Apple Design Award finalists. “Every year, the Apple Design Awards recognize innovation, ingenuity, and technical achievement in app and game design. But they’ve also become something more: a moment to step back and celebrate the work of Apple developers across the community,” Apple says.
