Overview
Apple today released minor iOS 26.4.2 and iPadOS 26.4.2 updates for the iPhone and iPad, respectively. The updates arrive two weeks after iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1.
How to Update
The new software can be downloaded over‑the‑air on eligible devices by going to Settings → General → Software Update.
Release Notes
According to Apple’s release notes, the updates contain unspecified bug fixes and security updates.
Future Updates
Beta testing is underway for iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5, the next versions expected to launch later in May.
