Apple Music in iOS 26.4: Five new features coming to iPhone
Source: 9to5Mac

iOS 26.4 is packed with new features and changes, including five updates for the Music app. Here’s everything new for Apple Music in iOS 26.4.
Playlist Playground

iOS 26.4 uses Apple Intelligence to power a new Playlist Playground feature in Apple Music.
When creating a new playlist in the Music app, you’ll now see an option to enter a prompt for AI to automatically assemble a playlist. The app also provides suggested prompts to help you get started.
You can still manually add or remove songs and make follow‑up requests, but Playlist Playground offers a convenient starting point for new playlists.
New Design for Albums and Playlists

Apple has given albums and playlists a new, fullscreen design in iOS 26.4. The artwork for an album or playlist now styles the entire background of the track list and other UI elements.
- If an album’s artwork features a prominent blue, a similar shade of blue will fill the screen.
- Complementary colors are sometimes used, such as a black background when the artwork is mostly white and gray.

Last year Apple launched a new Ambient Music feature for Control Center, allowing quick playback for four moods: Chill, Productivity, Sleep, and Wellbeing. In iOS 26.4 the same Ambient Music feature is available via a new Home Screen widget (Small and Medium sizes).
Add Songs to Multiple Playlists at Once

iOS 26.4 lets you add a song to more than one playlist at a time. When adding to a playlist, a new selection button appears in the bottom‑right corner. Tap it to select multiple playlists simultaneously—a small but handy improvement.
Concert Info

Apple is integrating concert information directly into the Music app. Artist profiles now highlight Upcoming Concerts when available. Scrolling down shows all upcoming shows, and tapping a specific concert provides a ticket‑purchase link, venue details, start time, and more.
Apple Music is available for $10.99 /month, or you can get it as part of the Apple One bundle.
