Anthropic has sued the U.S. government over its designation as a supply‑chain risk, marking the latest development in a week‑long dispute with the Pentagon regarding permissible use cases for its military AI technology.

The lawsuit, filed in a California district court, alleges that the Trump administration illegally penalized the company for establishing “red lines” on mass domestic surveillance and fully autonomous weapons.
