Angry Birds and FIFA International Soccer join the World Video Game Hall of Fame

Inductees
The Strong National Museum of Play announced the 2026 class of the World Video Game Hall of Fame. The four inductees are:
- Angry Birds – Rovio’s 2009 physics‑based puzzle series that popularized catapult‑flinging birds at pig‑filled structures.
- Silent Hill – Konami’s psychological horror franchise that debuted in 1999 and set a new standard for atmospheric storytelling.
- Dragon Quest – Enix’s (now Square Enix) 1986 role‑playing game that established many conventions of modern JRPGs.
- FIFA International Soccer – EA’s 1993 launch title that started the long‑running FIFA sports series, which remains the world’s biggest sports‑game franchise despite EA no longer holding the FIFA license1.
