New U.S. Export Rules for AI and HPC Accelerators
The United States has introduced new export regulations for AI and high‑performance computing (HPC) accelerators that are developed domestically. Under the updated rules, shipments of AMD’s MI325X and Nvidia’s H200 GPUs to Chinese entities are permitted only if the developers:
- Satisfy the demand of American customers, and
- Comply with additional requirements set by the Department of Commerce.
