Amazon‑owned eero announced its new eero Signal 4G LTE (price: $99.99) on Wednesday. The device acts as an instant backup connection when your primary internet goes down, provided you have an eero subscription.
How it works
- Plug the eero Signal into any compatible USB‑C powered eero device that supports Wi‑Fi 6 or higher.
- When an outage is detected, the eero Signal automatically switches to cellular.
- Once service is restored, it returns to standby mode.
This solution is especially useful for:
- Remote workers who need a reliable connection.
- Security‑system owners who require continuous online access.
- Residents in areas prone to frequent outages.

Pricing and subscription plans
Because the cellular network is used only intermittently, the subscription cost is lower than most comparable 4G LTE plans. At launch, users can choose between:
| Plan | Price | Backup data |
|---|---|---|
| eero Plus (annual) | $99.99 | 10 GB |
| eero Plus 100 | $199.99 | 100 GB |
Both plans include discounted pricing when you first purchase the device.
Future roadmap
- A 5G version of the eero Signal is slated for release later this year, priced at $199.99.
- Support for the device will also be extended to customers on eero Business plans.
