New EC2 Instance Types

  • AWS has launched Amazon EC2 C8id, M8id, and R8id instances.
  • These instances are backed by NVMe‑based SSD block‑level instance storage that is physically connected to the host server.
  • They deliver up to three times more vCPUs, memory, and local storage compared with prior offerings.
  • Each instance can be equipped with up to 22.8 TB of local NVMe‑backed SSD block‑level storage.
