ACHE: What Kind of Life Is This? ☕

For those who are still here — without really knowing why.
Some books promise answers. This one doesn’t.
ACHE: What Kind of Life Is This? is a quiet piece of fiction by Cahyanudien Aziz Saputra about something smaller — and maybe more honest. It’s about continuing.
You wake up. Nothing big. Just a normal day. But somehow… something is slightly wrong. Not enough to call it a disaster, just enough to make the day feel a little off. The bus arrives a little late, and the strange thing is — quietly.
Most stories are about big things: winning. Many lives aren’t like that. Many exist in a quieter space — and ACHE was written from that space. It isn’t a book trying to fix your life; it simply sits beside it. This is not a book about becoming better, productivity, or mindset. There are no lessons at the end, no grand message. Instead, it follows someone moving through a city that rarely notices he exists, and that might feel familiar.
In everyday life, I work as a developer building systems used by thousands of people. Systems are logical; you write code. Human life rarely behaves like that. Sometimes things go wrong for reasons nobody planned, yet people keep moving forward anyway. ACHE was written in that quiet space — logic and silence.
Who Might Relate
- Waiting somewhere until your number was already gone
- Arriving somewhere only to find it closed
- Feeling exhausted by endless advice about “staying positive”
- Continuing to live without fully knowing why
Not every life becomes a story about victory. Some lives simply… continue. And maybe that is already something.
