Accessibility: 2026 predictions

Introduction
I have been in the field for almost 6 years, and talking (or writing) about accessibility has always been tough in the tech area—but now it is insufferable.
Nowadays, accessibility is a hot topic; everyone wants to profit from it and be compliant (which is understandable, especially with the European Accessibility Act entering the scene). The internet is flooded with AI‑generated posts that repeat the same empty rhetoric, and no one reads them because they lack substance.
This is not an anti‑AI post. I consider AI a valuable tool to boost our work, but what happens when we forget our human condition in order to make money and overlook that we are building products not only for AI search robots but for humans?
- Stop using overlays for accessibility.
- Stop using AI for writing posts; use it just for corrections.
- Use your hands and your brain.
- Think before writing.
- Start talking with actual accessibility web professionals.
- Talk with actual users with disabilities.
Not everything is about money and speed. Behind the computer there are people. Do not forget that.
P.S. The title is just clickbait for my post‑rage lol.
