Asus’ one‑off ROG Astral RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition has become a remarkable investment. Based on its GPU components and the scrap value of the gold it contains, the card is now estimated at $834,000.
Valuation breakdown
The RTX 5090 GPU itself launched at $1,999. In the U.S. market, the card often sells for roughly double that price. For example, MSI and Gigabyte RTX 5090 models are listed at $3,999 each on major retailers.

Gold prices have surged from about $108 per gram in August 2025 to $166 per gram today. Asus claimed the Real Gold Edition contains 5 kg of actual gold, which raises the scrap gold value from roughly $540,000 to $830,000—an increase of about 54 %.
Combining the GPU’s market price with the updated gold valuation yields a total estimated worth of ≈ $834,000 for the Real Gold Edition today.

What about the ‘normal’ ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition?
The Dhahab Edition, marketed in the Middle East, resembles the Real Gold version but contains far less gold—approximately 6.5 g. Scraping that amount of gold would fetch around $1,080 at current prices. However, the card itself has been reported to sell for about $10,000 in the UAE, so removing the gold would significantly devalue the product.
